The Transurban travel behavior team sampled Greater Washington Area drivers to evaluate new approaches to improve safety on Virginia’s highway corridors.

Beginning in 2019, the team performed a series of studies exploring drivers’ beliefs about roadway safety and the effectiveness of on-road safety messages.
